Looking for a Mealime alternative?
If you cook in Ontario and want the week planned around what groceries cost here, RecipesMD is a free planner built for that: pick your dinners, see the total, take one list to the store.
Plan your week →What RecipesMD does
Ontario prices
Costs come from Statistics Canada monthly average retail prices for Ontario. Items the table doesn't cover use a labelled estimate. We never call them live prices.
A plan that fits your budget
Tell us how many people, how many nights and your weekly dinner budget. If nothing fits, we show the cheapest plan and how far over it is, rather than hiding it.
Shared ingredients
The planner favours dinners that share ingredients, so the bag of carrots or the tray of chicken gets used up across the week.
One grocery list
Everything for the week in one list, grouped by aisle and rounded up to real store pack sizes. Tick off what's already in your pantry.
Cook mode
Step-by-step view with timers and scaling for your household size.
Free, no account
Your plan lives in its share link. There is nothing to sign up for.
What we're upfront about
- Recipes are labelled “draft · not yet kitchen-tested” until someone has actually cooked them.
- Photos are Creative Commons pictures of a similar dish, credited on each recipe. They are not our own cooking.
- Prices are Ontario averages, not a quote from your store.
- Anything sponsored is labelled “Sponsored”, and a sponsor can't change your budget or diet filters.
- RecipesMD can't import your Mealime saved recipes or plans.
