Kielbasa and Cabbage Skillet with Potatoes
This hearty skillet meal combines tender kielbasa, potatoes, and cabbage for a satisfying weeknight dinner that cooks in one pan.

Ingredients
- 500 gSmoked kielbasa sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
- 4 mediumYellow potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 mediumYellow onions, chopped
- 750 gGreen cabbage, cored and roughly chopped
- 15 mlCanola oil
- 45 gSalted butter
- 30 mlApple cider vinegar
- 1 tspSalt
- 1 tspGround black pepper
Method
- Heat 15 ml of canola oil in a large, deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the 500 g of sliced kielbasa and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove the kielbasa from the skillet and set aside, leaving any rendered fat in the pan.⏱ 5 min timer in cook mode
- Add the 880 g of cubed potatoes and 250 g of chopped yellow onion to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender and lightly browned, about 12-15 minutes. If the pan gets too dry, add a splash of water.⏱ 15 min timer in cook mode
- Add the 750 g of chopped green cabbage to the skillet. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage has softened and wilted, about 8-10 minutes.⏱ 10 min timer in cook mode
- Return the cooked kielbasa to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the 45 g of butter and 30 ml of apple cider vinegar. Stir well to combine, allowing the butter to melt and the vinegar to coat the ingredients.
- Season with 6 g of salt and 2.5 g of ground black pepper. Stir everything together and cook for another 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.⏱ 2 min timer in cook mode
